Manju (Kamalini Mukherjee) falls in love with Shiva for his good deeds. Manju hates large families (for obvious reasons), knowing that Siva lies that he has only one brother and marries her. What happens when she comes to know the truth? Performances Rajasekhar is good as elder brother and he performed well. Kamalini Mukherjee looked glamorous. All the brothers have done their part well. Jhansi is good as a working woman. Jayprakash reddy played a key role. Brahmannadam and L.B.Sriram made some guest appearances. Music by S.A.Raj Kumar is Average. Cinematography is good. Editing could have been better. The story is very simple. The screenplay is not up to the mark and the narration is nothing new. Analysis Rajasekhar has come with yet another Sentimental and emotional flick after ‘Gorintaaku’. The movie has all the ingredients to appeal to B, C centers and masses. Story given by Bhupathi raja is a single line one which is very hard to develop with proper padding scenes. There are no additional threads to carry the movie forward. The story line itself reminds you of 90’s sentimental flicks. The story is similar to that of Vikraman’s Maa Annayya (Rajasekhar, Meena). The simple point was stretched to the maximum for duration of two and hours. Dialogues by Paruchuri are okay in parts but it is hard to bear lengthy dialogues at times. Fights are well choreographed by Kannal kannan (Even though most of them were of Wire work).Cinematography was good to some extent and editing can be better. Music by SA Raj Kumar is below average and the re-recording is as usual (a Pathos song hummed by the chorus through out the film).The Screenplay is very predictable and the Direction is old fashioned. Rajasekhar has delivered good performance. He emoted well in the sentimental Scenes. Sai kumar has dubbed his Voice and it helped a lot. Kamalini Mukherjee is okay as the female lead; she looked glamorous and sensuous in the songs. All the actors who played the brothers role has done average job. Bharath is okay as youngest brother who is fond of food. Jayprakash Reddy got a meaty role and he shares more screen presence. Comedians LB Sriram and Brahmannadam were wasted. There is no entertainment at all. The Climax Delivery Scene reminds us of Hindi flicks SALAM NAMASTE and 3 IDIOTS. We have to wait and see how the film fares at B, C Centers. Plus: Family Sentiment, Kamalini Mukherjee Minus: Predictable Scenes, Old fashioned Narration Verdict: Old Wine in Old Bottle, Maa Annayya Bangaram is an Emotional family drama targeted at a particular Section of audiences

Story Line:

Senthil (Cheran), an ad-creator from Chennai takes off on a journey to re-live his past memories with three girls who made an impact in his life. Kamala (Mallika) Senthil’s high school sweet heart, who is at present leading a poverty stricken life with 3 kids. Then Comes Lathika (Gopika, from Kerala) with whom he loved in his College days and also something more intimate. Story Line :

Story Line:

Shanmugam (Parthiban), a veterinary doctor, lives in the city with his wife Valarmati(Devayani) and their two children. In school, Shanmugam was in love with his classmate Dhanalakshmi but fate had forced them to go their separate ways, with Dhanalakshmi (Nandita Das) being forced to wed her brother-in-law. One day, Shanmugam spots Dhanalakshmi, who, having lost her husband, now lives a life of poverty on the platforms with her son, Balu. After an unsuccessful attempt to find her a job in a friend’s house, he hires her as their servant-maid. However, memories of the past starts to create a tension between Shanmugam and Dhanam, despite their attempts to maintain a distance.

One day, Valarmati finds out from Shanmugam’s old classmates how they both were in love when they were young and she starts fearing that Shanmugam will leave her and her children for Dhanam. Valarmati becomes so distraught that she even humiliates Dhanam at a party organized by one of their friends. When they return home, Valarmati confronts Shanmugam and an argument ensues. Unfortunately, Dhanam overhears their argument and silently goes to bed. The next morning, Dhanam and Balu are nowhere to be found. When Shanmugam searches the house, he finds a letter written by Dhanam saying that she wants Valarmati and Shanmugam to be happy and that she doesn’t want to interfere. Soon, Valarmati realises the truth and wants to bring Dhanam back home and ask her for her forgiveness.

Shanmugam searches high and low for them and at last finds Balu in an orphanage. The matron informs them that his mother had left instructions that her son should remain at the orphanage till her return. However, when the matron questions Balu, he replies that he wants to go with Shanmugam and stay in their house and to tell his mother that she is there when she returns. The matron agrees and lets him go. At the beginning of the movie, it is mentioned that Balu has been adopted by Shanmugam but still continues to call him “Sir” and never “Father or “Dad”. As Parthiban leaves for home from the orphanage, he mentions that he is still searching for the whereabouts of Dhanalakshmi to this day.

Story Line :

Inbasekar (Madhavan), a hitman shoots Michael (Surya), a youth leader, off his motorbike on Napier bridge in Chennai. Story Line:

The movie begins by showing Suriya aka Deva as a wealthy and well-educated traveller ( who criticizes corporates) only to find his English to be replaced with Madras slang and his true profession revealed when he leaves the airport. Suriya is a smuggler working for Prabhu (Doss)and in this intro scene, he is seen smuggling pirated copy of a diwali release.

In the next few scenes the villain emerges. Akashdeep Segal (Kamalesh), son of a friendly rival of Prabhu’s gang wants to depart from the friendly ways and establish himself as the numero uno. Segal informs the police about the piracy and Suriya and gang have a close escape.

Next, we are taken to Congo, the land of diamonds and AIDS, as said by Suriya’s character. Here we see Suriya, and his sidekick Jegan, obtain a pouch of diamonds from the country’s rebels. Suriya is watched in Congo by Segal and his men and what follows is a brilliantly choreographed action sequence in which Suriya recovers the diamond pouch that Segal’s men steal from him. If you, like me, expected to see more such action sequences later in the movie, you will be sorely disappointed, for, with this action sequence and the “hero’s intro” song (Pala palakra pagala nee), the movie is pretty much over. The audience can now throw in some romance, some twists and a climax sequence to get the entire “picture”. The movie is about how Deva overcomes Kamalesh in his smuggling venture and eventually becomes ( not unpredictably) a customs officer

Story Line:

Wealthy Janki falls in love with poor Jaiprakash, much to the displeasure of her parents, and ends up getting married, and living with her husband. She subsequently gives birth to a daughter. Differences surface between the couple, and Janki leaves Jaiprakash and moves back in with her parents. Aval Peyar Tamilarasi Movie Story:

A known tale, the story is set on a rural backdrop and here is Siva Rao (Veera Santhanam) who is a ‘Thol Pavai’ puppeteer. He along with his family moves from village to village entertaining the crowds and he has a tough life to handle. Things take a turn when they reach Tirunelveli and here lives Chelladurai (Theodore bhaskaran), a very rich man. He decides to support the family of Siva Rao since his grandson Jothi (jai) is an ardent fan of this culture. In no time, Siva Rao’s granddaughter Thamizharasi (nandagi) is also got enrolled into a school and she studies hard and passes out with very good scores. By the time she reaches her graduation and gets a seat in college, Jothi and she get close. In an intention to have her forever, Jothi does something controversial as a consequence, he is sent away from the village. He returns after few years only to know that Thamizharasi is not around. What happens from there forms rest of the story.

Story Line:

An NSG commando chief Ashoka (Prem) looking after the security of the Prime Minister of the country. Asal Movie Story:Asal is a story of riot between three brothers over a property. Two of the brothers (Sampath Kumar and Rajeev Krishna) are constantly fighting for the wealth and the property while the other brother keeps aside and tries to stop the family getting split. The feud existed there in the family right from the father’s time and is still continuing even after the death of the father. Both the good son and father’s role is played by Ajith.
