Story Line:
Muralikrishna (ANR) and Anuradha (Savitri) are classmates. Murali loves Anurahda but keep it for himself. Sarala (Rajashri) who is in love with Murali was jealous when she sees a poem on his table about Anuradha and posts the same to her in the name of Murali. Anuradha who was teased by her friends on this gets agitated and reports about it to the principal (Gummadi). Principal cancels the Murali’s scholarship to London on his higher education. Murali goes to London with the help of Ramanareddy who wants to give his daughter Laxmi’s (girija) hand in marriage with Murali. Murali starts writing letter to Laxmi and Laxmi asks Anuradha to write replies to them. On the pressure from Laxmi, Anuradha replies to Murali. Murali falls in love with the letters written by Anuradha thinking that was laxmi. One day in the laboratory he meets with an accident and loses his eyesight. Seeing him blind Ramanareddy backs off and it is Anuradha who helps him to regain the eyesight with the help of Sarathi (jagayya). How Murali finds Anuradha is laxmi is rest of the story.
