Story Line :

Vasu (Ajith), a final year college student is happy go lucky. But he is forced to contest elections in the college after being persuaded by his friends (Venkat Prabhu and Arun). He, however, incurs the wrath of the local MLA Varadharajan (Charanraj), whose son is studying in the college, contests the elections too.

In the course of events, the MLA’s gang attacks Vasu and his friends. It’s here that Vasu’s father (Vijayakumar) advises the students to take a plunge in politics and teach the bad apples like Varadharajan a lesson.

Taking cue from his words, Vasu does indeed take the plunge in politics with the backing of college students and even files nomination for the Assembly election in Kumbakonam constituency.

Varadharajan is naturally annoyed and angry at the presumptuousness of Vasu and tells him to back off from the elections. But a relentless Vasu goes ahead with his plans. The rest is a sequence of events by which Vasu wins the admiration of masses and succeeds in getting elected as a MLA.

Unfortunately, Varadharajan, unable to digest the defeat, plays a trick and burns a primary school and Vasu is blamed for the death of innocent children. He gets sentenced to seven years rigorous imprisonment.

After serving the term, Vasu comes out of prison only to take revenge on Varadharajan. It’s a happy ending with Ajith holding the hands of his lover Trisha, too.

Story Line:

The movie is centered in a village where the parents of first cousins Sujatha (Sadha) and Raghu (Gopichand) decide that both will be married when they become adults. Sujatha study in college , while the villain Raghu becomes a good-for-nothing character. On her way to college, Sujatha meets up with Ravi (Jayam Ravi), a poor but handsome enthusiastic boy, and soon after their quarrels they fall in love. Meanwhile, Raghu’s parents, hoping that he will become a responsible person after marriage, decide to carry out his marriage with Sujatha. The whole story takes a turn when Sujatha’s parents learn about her love affair with Ravi. On the day of her marriage, Sujatha elopes with Ravi and the how raghu get them again and what heppens is the rest of the movie.

Story Line:

Arjun (Vinay) returns to Chennai after working in London for many years after his father’s demise. With plans to start his own business in India with about 60 lakhs he had sent his father over the years, he reveals his intentions to a group of friends who get ecstatic at his plans. But the bubble bursts once they find that his father’s bank balance does not support his plans. In comes a shocking revelation. His father has had another family and he had also raised a daughter (Lekha Washington) who is about twenty years old and has an insatiable thirst to study in the United States of America. Sibling rivalry ensues over property inheritance and this is about the time director Kannan succeeds in keeping the audience interested. But then the intensity is lost with loads of contrived situations that lead the protagonist to Madurai where he intends to sell off one of his father’s property which currently houses Bhavana and family. The inevitable (love) has to happen.

The film then gets rejuvenated with the entry of a local gangster Guna (Kishore). The character of the gangster’s concubine keeps the intensity going as she has viewpoints that are not frequently addressed in Tamil film. She adores the gangster because he has the capacity to make people tremble with fear. Incidents build up in such a way that the concubine is killed in an accident in which Arjun is involved. Guna takes it personal and is out to get him at any cost.

Story Line:

Jaggubhai starring Sarath Kumar and Shriya Saran in the lead. Jagannathan, (Sarath Kumar) fondly known as ‘Jaggubahi’. is an Indian Police Officer with sharp methods. His way of dealing the criminals strikes terror in the underground world. Tough is just an ordinary word to describe this upright, straight forward police officer.

Jaggubhai is sent to Australia on an important mission to deal with anti social elements there. In Australia, Jaggubai meets Meena (Srisha) and they both fall in love with each other. Jaggubai fails in his mission for which he came to Australia and the brief romance with Meena also ends abruptly. Jaggubai returns to India as a dejected officer failing in his official duty and in personal life.

But fate had something in store for him. Twenty years later he gets a call from Australia stating that Meena is dead and has left him a will. He reaches Australia and is shocked to know that the brief encounter with Meena had resulted in a daughter ‘Nikki’ (Shriya Saran), now a teenager. Jaggubai realises that has left behind his daughter and her wish that Jaggubhai should protect her.

Nikki thinks that he is mother’s friend and tries to act cranky. Threat comes in the form of some anti social elements who want to eliminate Nikki. These thugs were the same ones who had tricked Jaggubai some 20 years earlier. Now, it is Jaggubai’s duty to save his only daughter and settles old scores with the thugs. He now meets his former colleague Mani (Goundamani). With his help he overcomes the crisis and eventually finds out why Meena left him and the reason for bringing him back into his daughter’s life.
