Story Line:

Mitr-My Friend (2002) is a heartwarming story about an NRI family, settled in America for 18 years.Prithvi (Nasir Abdullah), a U.S. based engineer marries Lakshmi (Shobana), from a small town in India. As Prithvi’s career graph soars, Lakshmi gets busy with their daughter Divya (Preeti Vissa). When Divya grows up, the generation and cultural gap between mother and daughter almost tears their relationship apart.

Lakshmi’s search for companionship, in an alien land, leads her to Internet chat rooms, where she meets Mitr-an online stranger who becomes her friend. How does this change her life? What could happen? Watch the film.
