Story Line:

Champu a.k.a Agasthya Rao is a geek in love with the college beauty Piya (Preity Zinta). But the pretty lass has eyes only for her singer boy friend Suhan Kapoor (Salman Khan). Years go by. Agasthya is now an astronaut in the U.S. but the passage of time has not diminished the intensity of his love for Piya. Meanwhile, Piya and Suhan are divorced. Piya has moved to New York while aspiring movie star Suhan is living in Mumbai in straitened circumstances after his movie career fails to take off. Suhan lands in serious financial trouble over alimony issues and is at his wit’s end for money. However, Suhan sees a way out of his financial woes when Agasthya comes calling to see Piya. Without revealing his relationship with Piya, Suhan tells Agasthya that Piya is divorced and in New York. Suhan also offers to help Agasthya marry Piya to make his alimony problems to go away. In New York, Suhan provides real time coaching – via a wireless earpiece – to the clumsy Agasthya to help him win Piya’s heart. Just as Suhan realizes how much he still loves Piya, Agasthya and Piya decide to get married.
