Story Line:

Manikkam (Rajnikant) is an auto driver and helps people . His sister who gets 98% in her exam cannot get into a private medical college because she cannot pay the fees. He then meets the principal and reveals his past,(not audible to the audience) , his sister gets the admission. Later Manikkam past is releved as Manikkam was actually once a Don named Manik Baasha in Mumbai . Manik his friend is killed by Antony, so he becomes don and under circumstances he the city and media believe that the he was killed by his rival don, Antony (Raghuvaran).He was liiving a new life as an auto rikshaw driver. But in his new life, he meets and falls in love with Priya (Nagma), and marries her. But unfortunately, his old life has followed him when Priya’s father, a former member of Mark Antony’s gang, recognises Manik Baashha. How Manikkam saves his family from the villion Antony forms the rest of the story.
