Story Line :

Arjun (Vivek) a CBI officer (Vivek) thirsting after the truth while Rukmini Vijayakumar is shot by Rana (Nana Patekar). The life of Rana (at the work place and at home) is shrouded by his eccentric nature that keeps all people around him not knowing a girl (Kajal Agarwal) who has a penchant for poetry admires him for his creative genius. Arjun detects some murders. Who are responsible for them and Why the Girl is following Rana ??

Story Line :

The movie begins with Ajith, a driving instructor leading a happy life with his mother Sujatha. She hides from him the truth that his father, Nizhalgal Ravi, was murdered by a dadha, Babu Anthony. The mother much against the boy’s wish packs off Ajith’s twin brother with a family who offer to adopt him, who had been witness to the murderer from a close quarter, to a distant town. He escapes from the family and goes to Tuticorin and grows to become a gangster there.

When the younger Ajith visits Tuticorin, he comes across his elder brother. Seizing the opportunity, the elder brother kidnaps the younger one and decides to go as the driving instructor to Chennai. Initially, he plans to take revenge on his mother for packing him off from their house at a very young age. He hurts her at every step and even plans to sell off all their property.

On the other hand, the younger Ajith is mistaken as the gangster and is subject to attacks by the local gangsters of Tuticorin. Younger Ajith escapes from them and returns to Chennai to save his mother. In the meantime Older Ajith comes to know about his fathers death and that Babu Antony was the cause for the same. He avenges his fathers death and leaves younger Ajith with his mother to live happily and goes off to jail to keep his mother in belief that he is somewhere in the world living happily.

Story line:

Shekhar (Arvind Swamy) is the son of traditional Hindu parents in a seaside village. A journalism student studying in Bombay, Shekhar visits back home to see his family. On one of his return trips, he lays eyes on Shaila Bano (Manisha Koirala). Initially shy, Shaila seeks to distance herself from Shekhar, but after frequent run-ins, and days of pursuit, Shaila begins to like Shekhar. Eventually, they both fall in love. A marriage proposal is vehemently opposed by the lovers’ fathers. Shekar’s father refuses to accept Shaila as his daughter-in-law, telling Shekhar to find another partner, whilst Shaila’s father announces the need for an immediate marriage between his daughter and a Muslim man. Shekhar’s father says if the two ever get married, he will cease talking to his son. Shekhar reacts angrily to his father’s refusal to accept Shaila, and so leaves, back to Bombay. Shaila, under increasing pressure from her father, escapes from the village and joins Shekhar. At first, Shaila is overwhelmed by the city, having relocated for the first time from rural surroundings to a city life. However, with time she adapts to her new lifestyle. The two get married. The newlyweds move into a new apartment. Rest of the story is how their parents compramise their love and marriage.

Story Line:

Billa (Ajith) is a Underwold DON . A police officer (pradhu) is tracking down Billa and wounds Billa, resulting his death . The officer then remembers a person who looks a- like Billa and puts Velu in the place of Don to take down the rest of Billa’s gang. Velu agress to the officer when he premises him that he will give a proper education to the children that he is looking after. But in an unexpected turn of events the police officer dies. How Velu goes on and proves that he is not Billa forms the rest of the story.

Story Line:

Chinna (Prakash Raj) and Periyavar (Raghuvaran) are the dons for two different gangs. Shekhar (Vikram) is a son of an honest and dedicated policeman, grows up in Rameswaram. From childhood he is drawn towards Chinna more for his benevolent nature than his dark side. Shekhar’s admiration for Chinna develops into adoration and Chinna is a role model. He eventually joins the ranks of the gangster and rises to become his trusted lieutenant. A turf war breaks out between Chinna and Periyavar. Fighting on the side of Chinna, ‘all muscle’ Shekhar humbles Periyavar and his sons and helps Chinna establish his supremacy. However, the rivalry between the two gangs intensifies in a bid to eliminate each other. Terror is let loose.

A new police commissioner (Ashish Vidyarthi) enters into the drama. He forms a special team to liquidate the two gangs in encounters. Meanwhile, Shekhar falls in love with Charu (Trisha). This further complicates matters. With the special team in hot pursuit of the gangs, the situation hots up leading to shoot-outs and the resultant mayhem.

Story Line :

Bharathi (Parthiban), a worker for a rich Thevar Zamindar (Vijayakumar). He comes from a lower caste and falls in love with the rich Zamindar’s daughter Kannamma (Meena). Kannamma feels the same way, however their differing castes become a barrier, and as Kannamma’s marriage is fixed to a wealthy man, Bharathi hasn’t the courage to express his disapproval or start a relationship with Kannamma. Story Line :

Mookaiyah and his sister Bhairavi are children of a drunkard who are left to fend for themselves. After Bhairavi is lost in an accident, Mookaiyah becomes a manservant at the home of a local landlord, and grows to become the landlord’s faithful crony, taking unquestioning orders from his boss. Story Line:

Manikkam (Rajnikant) is an auto driver and helps people . His sister who gets 98% in her exam cannot get into a private medical college because she cannot pay the fees. He then meets the principal and reveals his past,(not audible to the audience) , his sister gets the admission. Later Manikkam past is releved as Manikkam was actually once a Don named Manik Baasha in Mumbai . Manik his friend is killed by Antony, so he becomes don and under circumstances he the city and media believe that the he was killed by his rival don, Antony (Raghuvaran).

He was liiving a new life as an auto rikshaw driver. But in his new life, he meets and falls in love with Priya (Nagma), and marries her. But unfortunately, his old life has followed him when Priya’s father, a former member of Mark Antony’s gang, recognises Manik Baashha. How Manikkam saves his family from the villion Antony forms the rest of the story.

Story Line:

Badrinatha Moorthy (Vijay), who is fondly called as Badri by everyone prefers to be called as Badri. A spoiled college brat, Badri hangs around with a bunch of friends of similar nature. Janaki (Bhumika Chawla), is his neighbour childhood friend secretly loves Badri, but never reveals it. Badri’s elder brother, Vetrinath (Riyaz Khan) and his father runs a canteen in which Malli (Anu Mohan) is a cook. Vetrinath, representing govt. college, practices kickboxing to participate in the intercollege competition, but is defeated by rival, Rohit from Model college. Badri’s gang and his govt. college mates are looked down cheaply by Model college’s Rohit and gang and are insulted often. Badri plans to teach them a lesson and tries every trick to woo Lovely (Monal), who is a new entry into model college. Badri pretends as the son of a multi-millionaire and wins over Lovely’s heart and when the truth comes out lovely leaves him and also his father. What happens wins everyone’s heart again is the rest of the movie.

Plot Summary:

The prediction of some sages that a child would be born to an elderly couple turn out to be true. The sages visit this special child, name him Baba, and tell the mother that they would return and take him back with them at an appropriate time. Baba grows up with all sorts of vices under the indulgent eye of his widowed mother and his uncle. As an atheist, gambler, alcoholic and a rowdy. The latter quality, of course, reserved for the deserving villains! Baba falls in love with his new neighbour Chamundeeswari, but when it comes to marriage she dithers. She does later on return to Baba, but this time it is Baba’s turn to reject her.

Baba has this on-going feud with Purshothaman and Ramasamy the Chief minister and his minister respectively, both enemies of the people. Ramasamy had usurped the land occupied by Baba’s people. Baba had bashed up Ramasamy’s son resulting in unending violence and clashes between the two parties. There is quite a few lines with political overtones in the film.

There is again this cranky tramp-like character hovering around Baba and mouthing philosophies. After an elephant blesses Baba with his trunk, the cranky sage transports him to the Himalayas. It’s here that Baba realises who he really is, about his previous birth, and the reason for his being reborn again. Baba is now given a ‘manthra’ to recite, and a ‘mudra’ to go with it, using which he can get seven of his wishes fulfilled. Baba and his gang of cronies (mostly comics) waste most of it by trying to test if it was working. The scenes of the ‘wish fulfillment’ could have been more imaginative. There’s the unwanted interpolation of the character of Neelambari from Padayappa into this film, in one of these ‘wish fulfillment’ scenes.
